Professional Experience:

Prior to attending law school, Erik worked as a biologist at a San Diego startup biotechnology company.

After law school he worked for the San Diego District Attoney's Child Support Enforcement division.  He then spent several years as a workers' compensation defense attorney.  Erik joined the firm in 1994.  He specializes in handling complex workers' compensation cases on behalf of self-insured and high retention employers.  Erik has had much sucess litigating in multiple southern California District Offices of the WCAB.  He has also obtained numerous favorable arbitration awards. 

Personal:

While at UCSD Erik was a member of the intercollegiate swim team, competing in the 1991 NCAA Division III swimming championships.  Erik and his wife Karen are the proud parents of son Evan.
