While at the University of Cincinnati, Melissa worked for the Ohio Innocence Project and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

 

Prior Work Experience:

During law school, Melissa clerked for a Common Pleas Judge in Hamilton County, OH. She also interned for Convergys Corporation’s in-house counsel. After her admission to the Bar, Melissa worked for the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, handling conservatorships and unlawful detainers. Melissa joined Heggeness, Sweet, Simington & Patrico in 2011.

 

Personal:
Melissa enjoys reading and writing and is a member of the San Diego Women’s book club. She also spends her free time running and playing the piano.
