Court Summarily Denies Writ

State Compensation Insurance Fund v. Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (Almaraz) (2011):   The Fifth Appellate District Court of Appeal summarily denied the Petition for Writ of Review filed by State Compensation Insurance Fund on October 19, 2009.  Unless SCIF successfully petitions the California Supreme Court to review the issue the Almaraz WCAB en banc decision and Guzman Sixth District Court of Appeal cases will control the issue of whether and how a whole person impairment may be rebutted.
